Ryan Paul

Eleven year old Ryan Paul has played tennis for 51/2 years and
loves the game. Ryan put in a creditable performance at the
Maryborough Masters and is a big fan of Raphael Nadal. He
prefers the babolat racquet which complements his serve.
Ryan plays soccer at school but is a Broncos supporter and
Darren Lockyer fan.
Charlotte Lassig

Five year old Charlotte Lassig was destined to play
Hockey for Arrows Athletics, with her grandfather Colin
playing for them way back in 1949. Charlotte who has
played the game for two years also plays Netball and has
a passion for dancing, with jazz, tap and ballet her
favourites.
She likes spending time with her kitten Toby, listening
to Taylor Swift and said that the best movie ever was
High School Musical. While Charlotte likes school, she
said the best thing about school was the new playground.
Alex Vohland

While a member of the Moore Park Yabbies, Alex Vohland
helped out the Bargara Turtles in a recent match when they
were down on numbers. Alex who has scored a couple of goals
this year and had a crack at goal keeping likes playing on
the bigger fields. His other sporting interest include
Tennis, Nippers and boogie boarding.
A Storm fan, Alex is saddened by the recent controversy
which has engulfed his team. The youngster's favourite TV
show is Sponge Bob Square Pants and brother Sam has acquired
the nickname Sponge Bob because of his shorts. In his spare
time the eight year old likes going to the beach and going
on camping trips with the family
Jeremy Walker

Jeremy Walker has played AFL
since he was 3, getting hooked on the game since his Auskick
days. The centre who plays for Across the Waves in under 13's is
a Collingwood supporter who dreams of one day playing for the
Magpies. Jeremy said that Dale Thomas is his favourite player.
The youngster has little interest in other sports with AFL his
passion. Brother Josh and sister Kiara both play AFL with Across
the Waves.
Oddly enough when playing games on his playstation, rugby league
is his game of choice though one could be forgiven for thinking
Jeremy has worn out his AFL games. The youngster looks forward
to helping his dad out on the job and admitted that Mommas Boy
was his favourite TV show.
Sam Pearson

It was a big day for Sam Pearson (Saturday 20th March). Not only
was he playing in the under 11 Cricket grand final against
Brothers White it was the first day of the Soccer season. Sam
missed the first game for Bingera to play his part in Brothers
Blue's grand final win. Batting at number 4, Sam scored 11 not
out and took 1-5 from his three overs. When asked which team
mates had impressed with their improvement this season, Sam was
quick to mention Harley Hooper and Morgan Apel
The youngster who practices in the backyard with his Dad said
his favourite cricketers were Mitchell Johnson, Shaun Tait and
Stuart Clark. Sam has represented Bundaberg in schoolboys Rugby
League and is a Broncos supporter with Jonathon Thurston, Darren
Lockyer and Scott Prince his idols.
Bryce Holliss

Ten year old Bryce Holliss is having his first year in athletics
and competes Friday nights with West Bundaberg Little A's, with
his pet event the 800 metres.
The youngster also plays Rugby League with Easts Magpies and
Parramatta Eels veteran Nathan Hindmarsh is his favourite
plater. The year six student at Wongarra State School plays both
cricket and League at School. In his spare time he likes
watching Rollercoaster on ABC3 and playing with his dog.

Kye Gleeson

Ten year old Brothers White half-back Kye
Gleeson has played rugby league for five years and travels from
Maroondan to train and play the game he loves. Described by his
father and coach Darren as a thinking player Kye is a Storm and
Titans fan and named Billy Slater as his favourite player.
Brother Jessie's season ended prematurely when he broke his arm.
The Wongarra Primary School grade 5 student also enjoys
athletics and is an accomplished sprinter.
Tia Brockfield

Seven year old Tia Brockfield is a bit of a soccer tragic, just
like dad Vince and says she has been playing since she could
walk. The youngster whose favourite player is Socceroos star
Harry Kewell plays for North Bundaberg St. Luke's who had a win
over the weekend. Next year she intends having a 'crack' at
gymnastics.
Tia, whose admits to liking for McDonalds and iced coffee is
into collecting igneous rocks now that rocks are being studied
at school and in her spare time watches I Cathy cartoons.
Ace Siglan

Ace Siglan plays on the wing for Childers
in the Bundaberg under 13 Junior Rugby League and is enjoying
his first season in the game. The Knights supporter was a ball
boy for Bundaberg in the recent 47th Battalion Junior Carnival
held on the Anzac Day weekend. His preferred sport is League
though he has had a crack at Cricket and Swimming with
backstroke his pet event.
Ace enjoys playing video games with Fall Out 3 his favourite
game. In his spare time he looks forward to riding bike with
friends eating Mexican food and watching the Simpsons on TV.
Matthew Boland

Ten year old Matthew Boland looks forward to the Bundaberg
Little Athletics meetings each week. Matthew, an AWD
particularly likes discus, javelin and the sprints. Younger
sisters Samantha and Kimberly are also budding athletes. He is a
Broncos supporter and a Corey Parker fan, no doubt looking
forward to Parker returning from injury.
A playstation devotee, the youngsters favourite game is 'Sonic
the Hedgehog' while when it comes to TV the Simpsons is his no.
1 show and he is a Homer fan who enjoys his pizza.
Bradley Johnson

Bradley Johnson plays Rugby League with
Across the Waves in the mini-mod under 9 league. The second row
forward is a Cowboys supporter and not surprisingly a Jonathon
Thurston fan and followed older brother Karl, a member of Waves
under 18's into league. As well as playing league the youngster
is keen on BMX and enjoys the Friday night competition at the
BMX track.
The Walkervale student whose pets include 2 dogs and a bird also
has an interest in racing remote control cars and playing racing
car games on his playstation 2
Thomas Flatley

Thomas Flatley is a keeper/batsman who plays for YMCA in
the under 12 division. In his last outing against
Country Wests ATW he retired on 16no. from his allocated
35 balls. His top score to date is 23. Not surprisingly
Australian keeper Brad Haddin is his favourite
cricketer.
The twelve year old is also keen on Tae Kwon Do (a red
belt) rip sticking and boogie boarding. Thomas is in his
first year at Shalom with Science and Technology his pet
subject.
Clay Grimes

Clay Grimes plays Touch on Friday night for Cougars in the under
11 boys and will play Rugby League for Brothers this season. The
twelve year old is a Melbourne Storm supporter and also
participates in the AFL Aus Kick program at school.
Clay likes fishing with his 'Pop' and his best catch to date has
been a 2kg. flathead.
