Kaylah Brackin
(Darling Downs)

Eleven year old Kaylah hails from Stanthorpe
and has been playing the game for six years. Another big
Ronaldinho fan, Kaylah is also into swimming and athletics and
competed at the state titles in butterfly. She has also
represented Darling Downs in the 800 metres on the track.
When it came to music Kaylah said that Black
Eyed Peas were her favourites. and when pressed she admitted
that Maths and PE were her preferred subject at school.
footnote: Not a
good day 3 for Kaylah. She had an adverse reaction to "deep
heat" and was in some discomfort for quite a while. Kaylah
celebrated her eleventh birthday during the carnival.
Shannon Keong
(Sunshine Coast)

Redcliffe's Shannon Keong is representing
Sunshine Coast at the Championships. A keen sportsperson
Shannon has also represented Redcliffe at Touch Football, and
when quizzed regarding school stated that she had a preference
for Art and PE.
An ardent Broncos and Chelsea supporter she
named Darren Lockyer as her favourite player. There must be
something special about Black Eyed Peas as Shannon also is a
fan, of Fergie in particular.

Georgina Adnum
(Capricornia)

Georgina has been playing football for four
years and plays for Clinton in the Gladstone competition.
Another keen athlete she has competed at the State Championships
for the past two years in shot-put and discus.
She has represented Port Curtis in Softball
and has her black belt in Tae Kwon Doe. To add variety to her
repertoire Georgina also plays the violin.

Zoe Thomas (South
Coast)

Zoe, from Arundel on the Gold Coast has been
playing the game for three years. Zoe, another athlete
specialises in high jump and the 800 metres and is a keen surfer
and skateboarder. She named the Socceroos as her favourite team
while David Beckham is her number 1 sportsman.
An avid reader, Zoe said the last book she
had read was 'True Crime Doesn't Pay" is also an Elvis fan and
collects Elvis memorabilia.

Tommie Hunter
(Sunshine Coast)

Tommie, from Deception Bay is another
accomplished striker and scored four goals in his teams clash
with North West. His true love is Football and he plays up an
age group in the Cross River Brisbane competition.
The footballer he most admires is Liverpool's
Fernando Torres even though he is an Athletico Madrid supporter.
Tommie is also a big fan of local band 'Mediator"

Morgan Saunders (South
Coast)

Morgan was one of three leading goal scorers at
the championships scoring nine goals. One would have to wonder how this talented
youngster from Carrara finds time to go to school as he competes
in Little A's, Swimming, Tennis, Table Tennis, Nippers (beach
sprint and flags) and cross Country.
He is a Cristiano Ronaldo fan and Man U
supporter who finds time to play chess and have an involvement
in Public Speaking.

Ted Indian
(Peninsula)

Ted has played football since he was six and back home plays for
the Centenary Comets in Cairns. A keen athlete, Ted has
represented FNQ in both 800 metres and cross country.
A defender, Ted named Barcelona's Ronaldinho as his number 1
player. Unfortunately Ted's carnival is over due to a knee
ligament injury, and he will spend the rest of the carnival on
crutches.
footnote: Ted has made great
progress and is hopeful of seeing further action during the
carnival.
Erin Woodvine
(Metropolitan East)

Twelve year old Erin is in Bundaberg at her first State
Championships and plays with the Red Devils under 12 girls side
back home. A Wayne Rooney and Man U fan, Erin also plays Touch
Football and Softball.
She likes hip hop music and not surprisingly said PE was her
favourite subject at school. Erin and her family migrated from
the UK three years ago and according to her dad they love it
here and have no intention of leaving.

Laura Welfare
(Metropolitan West)

Laura an eleven year old forward from
Ipswich, also enjoys Cricket, Touch Football and
Llittle Athletics. An age champion at little A's, Laura
specialises in long jump, javelin and the 200 metres.
Laura is a David Beckham and LA Galaxy fan
and has seen Beckham in action for the Galaxy in Los Angles.

Jaydon Pardon
(Northern)

Jaydon, a twelve year old from Townsville,
like most at the championships plays a number of sports. He is
involved in League, Touch, and Athletics. Jaydon has represented
his school in Athletics and favours the long jump and 100
metres.
The Titans and Man U supporter named Darren
Lockyer and Wayne Rooney as his favourite sportsmen. Jaydon is a
keen motorbike rider and enjoys getting out on his Honda CAF-80.

Morgan Riemer
(Wide Bay)

Eleven year old Morgan is flying the flag for
Bundaberg and plays for Across the Waves in the local
competition. Morgan is another fine athlete and placed second at
the Australian Championships last year in the 800 metres, and is
expected to make the Queensland team for the Pan Pacs Games to
be held in Canberra at the end of the year.
She has represented Wide Bay in Touch
Football, loves surfing and scrap booking and is an avid Broncos
supporter

Makensie Patch
(South West)

Makensie aged 10 is one of the younger
brigade at the championships, The talented youngster from Miles
will represent Queensland in Cross Country at the national
titles which get under way in Geelong on the 21st.
Makensie also plays Touch and with her horse 'Karma' competes in
equestrian events.
In league she supports the Storm and Billy
Slater and is a Slim Dusty fan who says the 'Cunnamulla
Fella' was his best hit.
